“I was lucky enough to see this at The Royal Court and it was unforgettable. John Lithgow transforms into a complex, curmudgeonly Roald Dahl and leaves you with your jaw on the floor by the play's end. Sophisticated in its writing, Giant is deceptively witty, haunting and timely.”
Vache Baroque: The Food of Love
This Valentines, we propose the following. Instead of a mediocre and over-priced date, might we turn your attention to this Baroque-fused evening at the heavenly Fidelio Cafe in Farringdon. The ensemble Vache Baroque, who are devoted to reviving the Baroque genre in accessible and beautiful ways, have curated the perfect love-themed evening.
Expect romantique melodies, impassioned virtuosic flair, and tender moments of stillness. That being said, there will be also be cocktails, wine and bistro-style small plates and you can even stay on post-performance for a full Valentine’s feast. Does this not sound more memorable and signficantly less cheesy than whatever plans you had semi-concocted?
