“I was lucky enough to see this at The Royal Court and it was unforgettable. John Lithgow transforms into a complex, curmudgeonly Roald Dahl and leaves you with your jaw on the floor by the play's end. Sophisticated in its writing, Giant is deceptively witty, haunting and timely.”
I Do
A drama set in a real, working hotel just 10 minutes before a wedding ceremony. Its an (actually well-done) immersive performance: audiences are divided into six groups and infiltrate the action, witnessing the same few minutes from six different angles in six different hotel rooms. We will leave it at that.
It’s been performed intermittently for over a decade now, but this is just testament to its enduring appeal! The Barbican is now presenting it as part of its off-site Scene Change season.
