Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)

Perhaps one of the cuter titles to cross our desks. And what a meet-cute this is.

The story: Dougal—an impossibly upbeat Brit—has just landed in NYC for the first time, in town for the wedding of a father he’s never met. Robin—the bride’s sister, a no-nonsense New Yorker—has a long errand list to get through before the big day, including picking up the groom’s estranged son from the airport. Yes, cake transport is involved. Yes, they do it together.

It’s not here to upend your worldview—but if what you want is a light, escapist evening, you’re in luck. A charming, deliberately simple two-hander rom-com.
